Battle of Haldighati was fought between armies of Mughal empreror Akbar and Maharana Pratap. The battle of Haldighati highlights the spirit of bravery, sacrifice and courage to stand for the cause that one believes in.
Akbar wanted to be ruler of India and desired that Maharana Pratap should accept him as the ruler. Maharana Pratap never accepted Akbar as ruler of India. Akbar first tried diplomacy to win over Maharana Pratap but nothing worked. Pratap maintained that he had no intention to fight with Akbar but he could not bow down to Akbar and accept him as the ruler. Read more
