A Community centre is meant to provide better facility and more space for family functions and peaceful gathering but the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) community hall across Delhi has become a problem for the nearby residents.

Most of the community halls do not have parking space and the visitors and organisers have to park their vehicles on colony roads which lead to long traffic jams in the area, especially during the marriage season.

Besides, during the function tent owners place generators on the roads which create noise and air pollution in and around the area causing inconvenience to the residents as well as passersby.

According to the residents, no parking facility was made at the time of construction of the community halls. Residents have to face problems for days together but nobody bothers.

The residents are also victims of the generators. The tent house owners always keep the generators on the road, blocking the road and leading to not only jams but air and noise pollution too.

According to officials in the Community Services Department of the MCD, no changes can be made in the old halls but the new ones will have parking facility in the basement.
