18th World Book Fair Begins In Pragati Maidan Delhi

The long wait is over. It is finally here.
18th World Book Fair began in Prgati Maidan in Delhi on 2nd February 2008. The book fair has 1,343 participants including 41 from 22 countries, including international bodies such as ILO, UNICEF and WHO.
There are nearly 2,500 stalls, spread across 13 halls.
A biennial event, World Book Fair is considered the second largest such event.
The fair is organized by the National Book Trust.
The highlight of this year is an international rights exhibition featuring works on and by Mahatama Gandhi.
Titled “In Words and Deeds” is a special exhibition featuring 1200 titles including more than 75 biographies on Gandhi and 100 volumes of Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi.
The fair is to continue till 10 February, 2008 Sunday.
Apart from Indian languages books are also available in foreign languages such as Spanish, French and German.
